CHINA Logistics Corp., Hebei Zhengding County Market Construction Administration Office and Hebei Zhenghua Industry Group have recently signed an agreement to jointly develop the first storage and distribution logistics park in Shijiazhuang City''s Zhengding county.

Construction of the CNY100 million (US$12.51 million) Shijiazhuang North International Storage Logistics Park is expected to start at the end of July. The facility will be built in phases and is designed to cover a total area measuring 1.33 square kilometres, according to a report in the Shijiazhuang Daily.

The first phase of the new storage and logistics park is expected to be open by the end of this year along with the Zhengding International Small Commodity Market.

The government in the region hopes that the logistics park will develop into an important regional logistics centre for North China, providing integrated container consolidation, distribution, cargo transiting and storage services, the report added
